Lake Shore Family Dental

TLDR: Literally the best dentist and dental experience out there. This is the best dentist I have ever been to and it's not even close! I have been to many dentists and orthodontists growing up, so I am not stranger to the ups and downs of different dentistry practices and how hit or miss it can be. When dealing with a dentist, it is like finding a good car mechanic that you can trust and not get price gouged as well as trusting they will perform quality work. Just like you want to show off your car, you want to show off your smile, at an affordable price too! My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. From the first visit and "orientation" to already going 4 times for dental work and fillings. Dr. Lam is the BEST dentist I have ever used. First off, HE CARES! Let me tell you how important it is to have someone that actually cares! I had pretty extensive fillings and repair done to the front of my teeth which is obviously the main part of my smile. He frequently makes sure that you are fine during the procedures, but not to an overbearing point. Basically, he is aware if you are uncomfortable or something is "wrong" and will make sure that you are okay with everything going on. Furthermore, I had some staining on my teeth (from the braces) and he removed the staining on a tooth that I was not quoted to work on and he did it AT NO CHARGE! WHO DOES THAT???? Once again, it is because he cares and he prides himself in the quality of his work. My smile has never looked better. He shaved my teeth as to be more uniform and symmetrical. It honestly looks amazing. I have had other dentists who tried to do fillings on the front of my teeth and they didn't match the shading of the teeth correctly and it just looked horrible. The work that Dr. Lam did was more than incredible and it is almost weird now to actually smile and not feel self conscious about it. We did extra work on my molars and side teeth and I did have to go back 2 times in order to correct the bite and I also had extra sensitivity to hot and cold. Each time they offered to see me that day but I kept my original schedule as it wasn't an emergency. I went in and once again, it was apparent that Dr. Lam cares and he took his time to ensure that we were correcting things and I wasn't in pain or anything else was going on, which can be the case with teeth. If you are looking for a dentist or have a fear of the dentist or any hesitation, I would highly recommend that you at least give them a try. You can see from the other reviews how highly rated they are but it really is warranted and everyone from the front staff to the assistants and of course, to the doctors... This place really deserves the 5 stars and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lake Shore Family Dental. Their level of professionalism and care is unmatched. Shout out to Dr. Lam, Allison, and especially John. John is exceptionally personable and his service-minded attitude is something you don't find at the front desk in other offices. We have been visiting them for years. My daughter always looks forward to her appointments!

I moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist after not being seen for my regular exams and cleaning for about 2 years. I have a lot of dental anxiety, but after reading all the reviews for Lake Shore Family Dental I figured I would give them a try. After being greeted by John at the front desk, I was given a brief tour of the facility and a gift before my appointment, which was so thoughtful. For my appointment, Morgan was my dental hygienist and she did an amazing job of listening to my concerns, going through my priorities, and explaining everything. She did an exceptional job of making me feel comfortable and talking to me about our next steps and health plan. Dr. Lam went through the roadmap of concerns, talked me through everything, and made me feel very comfortable with our plan to get my teeth back in good shape. After my appointment, I called my family and told them how impressed I was with everything and all of the employees at Lake Short Family Dental. They are truly a testament to their mission of being welcoming and prioritizing their patient’s comfort. Thank you, John, Morgan, and Dr. Lam! I can’t wait to come back for my next appointment… and I have even started flossing twice a day. 😊

I'm new to the area and was well overdue for a standard checkup and cleaning. Since it had been so long since my last checkup I was extremely anxious. From the moment I checked in, all of the staff was wonderful! Both the tech that did my cleaning and Dr Lam who did my fillings at a later appointment were amazing! They were so friendly and caring and genuinely concerned for my comfort throughout both visits. I can't thank them enough for getting me back on track and feeling less anxious about the dentist!

I moved to the area recently and needed a new dentist. I saw on a Pasadena Facebook group recommendations for this place. Let me just say, I am BLOWN away!!! They were so organized, so kind, so caring. They explained everything that was happening and made sure i was ok with the procedure and prices before continuing. My hygenist was super friendly and great to talk to. The office was VERY clean and super nice! The dentist himself was very friendly and great. I felt cared for. I definitely cant recommend this place enough, they are amazing!

I was recommended to Lake Shore Family Dental by a coworker who recently had a first time visit there and shared nothing but good things about the staff and atmosphere. I called to make an appointment for my daughter who is 7 and was pleasantly surprised to get something rather quickly. I filled out the registration paperwork online and showed up a couple minutes late which they were very understanding about. The front desk was extremely polite and welcoming, explained any fees I'd have to pay out of pocket that my insurance wouldn't cover. We were brought into the back with very little wait and Amanda, the dental hygienist, introduced herself. She made us feel so comfortable, and more importantly she made my daughter feel at ease and explained everything she would do beforehand. Dr. Lam then came in and spoke to my daughter directly, told her who he was, what they would be doing, and spoke about the importance of brushing and flossing. Out of everything, I was most appreciative of the fact that they were very engaging with her so that she understood how crucial it was to take care of her teeth! My only mistake was not getting the names of the front desk receptionist and billing so that I could include them in this stellar review. Thank you for assisting us today and taking care of my daughter! I highly recommend this dental office, especially for families!

I've always avoided going to the dentist at all costs but found myself in need of one rather quickly. I was able to make an appt online and was seen within 2 days. Everyone at the office was extremely friendly and informative and the hygienist and the dentist were great!! I was even welcomed as a new patient with a gift and a tour of the office, which made me feel super comfortable. I would absolutely 100% recommend them!!!

Lake Shore family dental is staffed with an assembly line of amazing, friendly and helpful staff. You know what you will pay upfront and they make the process easy, seamless and devoid of surprises.
